Oh Sian sorry bout af!!! bummer!

Canada yes I am happy that I have ovulated though I'm not sure if it was from the clomid or the drilling I had in November.
Temping (for me) is a revelation. It stops me what ifing the whole time and prevents me from having bdingfests!!

I was wondering if any of you girls have had more than one follicle?

How is everyone else?

Aww, Sian, sorry about AF arriving.

Canada actually I didnt know I was having the drilling til I woke up from a laparoscopy!! I have tiny cysts over my ovaries not big cysts, which means it creates holes for the follicles to be released. Its not a permanent thing as they will eventually heal.

My RE swears by this technique, and now I do too. since the drilling in Nov 07 I have had 3 periods bout 35daysish (before they were 40/60 and probably wasnt ovulating).

I feel almost normal!! and have stopped putting weight on. It has made me realise how bad the pcos was affecting me. I'm even going to ask if I could have the drilling done again, if my symptoms start to go downhill.

I was also having migraines weekly, now I only get them once or twice a month.

I dont know how other people respond, but I def feel better!!

Sian did you have a break between your clomid cycles? I think maybe after 3 months?

Hi Ladies,

Going for first set of bloods tomorrow. They're supposed to be done on day 21, but because of the short week, I'm having to go in on day 20 and 22.
I haven't O'd yet if fertilityfriend is correct. My temps are still down, but hopefully something will happen. Even if that something is just increasing the dosage.

I'll let you know prog. levels when I know.

A.

Hi,

Are these CD21 Progesterone tests? Becuase if they are they should really be called 7DPO tests, Dr's call them CD21 tests because some of them still think women all have a 28 day cycle with an O on day 14.

I am also going for the progesterone tests but have been told to go when I am 7DPO which for me is going to be cycle day 30.
I too have been on a clomid cycle this month and it has made me O really late, thought it wasn't going to happen at all to be honest so don't have much hope anyway. The fertility nurse wants to see a Prog level of 30 or more as this is a medicated cycle, I think it is a bit less for a normal cycle.

Good luck whatever happens.

Wendy

Wendy,

Thanks for the information. That's really, really good to know. You'd figure a doctor would tell you that sort of information. I'll talk to the nurse today and see if I should postpone the second test. I'm fairly certain that I haven't o'd yet (according to my temps anyway).

Perhaps a test next week will be more helpful than one today. Mind you my period is all over the place, so there isn't really any telling when it will start.

No, I've not used OPK. I've have done twice in the past, but because my cycle is so wonky, I don't get any results (the RE has said I'm not ovulating anyway, which might explain why they aren't helpful).
Temping this month, but I've not seen an increase in BBT except during the clomid.
I guess I'll see what happens. Perhaps an increased dosage will help.

Hi Canada,

If you have yet to see a temp rise then my guess is no O yet. Are you checking your CM?? Anything that resembles Egg white is normal a day or 2 or even 3 before you would O.

Do you have a link to your FF chart I could have a look at.

I am no expert but I have been charting for three years now so we might be able to gather some information to help you on your way to a BFP!!!

I think you should have the first Prog test them make sure you don't go for the next one until you think you may have O'd then go 7 days after. My fertility nurse was quie strict when she told me to go on 7PO, she said this gives a good clear picture as to whether I am Oing or not.

Perhaps you could ask for a monitored cycle of clomid, it is my understanding that you should have at last one monitored cycle to see if you are responding to the drug. In no response on 50mg you may need 100mg and so on. If no response on Clomid at all you may need different drugs.

I think you should at least ask about a monitored cycle, you never know they may agree.

Wendy
