Unhappy First Doc Appt

So my first appointment with my endo is in two days and I getting nervous. I have no idea what to say or do. Do I tell him right off that I have PCOS? or do I tell him that my PCP wanted me to see a specialist to confirm a diagnosis? I don't know that this endo specializes in PCOS or anything so I don't know what they even know about treating it. Are their questions that I should go in with? Will he want to repeat the blood tests? I just don't know what to expect and it is making me nervous. I wish it was here and over with already.

Don't be nervous. I would have your records from your PCP faxed over to the new doc for him to review before your appt. He should order some additional tests as well. I would just tell him your symptoms and concerns. If you don't feel comfortable after your visit, then I suggest finding another doc. This is a lifelong battle, and you need someone you can trust and be open with. I am not saying he needs to give you hugs or warm fuzzies or anything, but if you feel he is rude or judgemental I would go elsewhere. Are you TTC? If so, I would go directly to a reproductive endo instead of a regular one. In general, physicians offer very little support and education regarding PCOS. I got most of my info from SC!
