We just want to scream it from the roof tops, we are so excited!! Our first meeting with the social worker for MN Waiting Children with Lutheran SS is scheduled!! We finished our last required training on Friday and I called Stephanie yesterday and we go on Wednesday, July 30th @ 2pm. This is the first meeting with someone since we switched from International to MN Waiting children. She said it will be one of the "homestudy" meetings, we will do the first one at her office.
We are on our way, we can hardly contain our excitement that we finally seem to be getting somewhere- OUR HOMESTUDY IS GOING TO START!!!!!!
that is great news Mary!! i hope it is a smooth process for you. keep us posted. may i ask why you choose to switch from international adoption? by the way i too am hoping to adopt through waiting children, and peossible foster to adopt, lisa

We chose to switch from International to Waiting Children for a couple of reasons, one was that the money needed for International was incredible($20,000.00) and also having an infant was not important to us, having a child was and just realizing all the children right here in the US that need and long to have a mom and dad just touched us in some unexplanable way that we decided to just stay with domestic children that are available, we would also like a sibling pair or 3 children and from our research sibling groups are more available here in the US than elsewhere.
