I've gone through my first cycle of Yasmin, and it went beautifully...no spotting, cramping....only some nausea to deal with, and that's controllable. Now I'm into the fourth day of my period, and I'm a little worried...
My flow has been non-stop and wicked heavy, with a ton of clots. Just to give you an idea of how heavy (I'm sure it's happened to all of us, but if it's TMI, apologies), I woke up this morning literally covered in blood....and I've been having to change my feminine products at least after an hour, sometimes I can get away with two.
Did anyone else experience this on Yasmin? Could it be that I'm just clearing out all the crap that's been accumulating?
Love and Light,
Jen

It *could* be that you're cleaning house, so to speak. There could have been a giant buildup of uterine garbage going on and La Yasmin is letting it all go. *BUT* you should definitely keep an eye on it and if, when you start your active pills again, it doesn't go away soon, call your doctor. Just to be safe! Safe good.
Good luck!

Tried Ortho-Tri, terrible terrible. Mircette saved my life. Then tried Yasmin which was OK but had some side effects.
Now I'm back on Kariva (generic Mircette) with a low dose of Spiro. Ten bucks a month and I'm in a deliciously good mood.
I took that quiz and I'm Curry Flavored, how cool is that?
I had heavy periods anyway (had to change tampon every hr) but my first month on Yasmin it was pretty much the same with tons of clots too which I normally don't have. I know i had a build up because i had to have an emdometrial biopsy to make sure i didn't have cancer (which they lost and i have to have another biopsy). It probably was the yasmin see how it goes next month. my period has gotten lighter and not may clots now.
Called the Dr. today, and she said that it sounded like I wasn't having a good reaction to the progestin levels in the Yasmin, so she switched me to Levora.....
We'll see!
*crosses fingers*

I am sort of scared now lol. I will be starting my BCP's soon, Yasmin probably, and I am trying to think of the last time I had a full cycle, and ladies I can tell you that it has been at least 2 years! I spot and bleed for an hour or 2 about twice a month but no real cycle. I can only imagine the build up I will have to face once I start my pills. OMG I better stock up on heavy duty pads and pons.
I am having the same problem. I just posted asking anyone if they were having the same problems. I have had a cycle for six weeks now. It is driving me crazy. Very Heavy. I am weak, tired, moody, sick, and I want to eat all of the time. I am not ever really hungry. I just want to eat. Are you having any other problems?
