I go to my first RE appt on July 5th. I have been on met and snythroid for almost a year now. What do I bring with me? What do I expect to get out of this appt? They said that I need a pap before going. I thought about printing out my BBT chats, is that a good idea? I am just so ready to this and want to go in with all the info that they can possibly need. Thanks so much.
Jessica

I have my first RE appointment that same day!!! I don't have much advice, since I haven't been yet. The Dr's office sent me a packet of paper to fill out and submit ahead of time. In that packet is a list of things to bring with me. Here is my list:
Insurance cards for you and your husband.
A copy of your gynecological and/or infertility records and any urology records on your husband. Your Dr. can mail or fax these.
If you had an HSG, request the films not just the report from the xray lab where you had it done.
If you have a referral bring that with you.
That's it.
I'm excited about going to this consulation but, I'm also really scared. Let me know how your's goes.

When I went to my first RE apt, I hadn't been diagnosed with PCOS yet, so I had a blood test at the apt. In addition to meeting the RE (where he explained PCOS and outlined his suggested mode of attack, if you will) we also met with their insurance specialist who had called our insurance and knew what ours would and wouldn't pay for, so we knew that day what the treatments would cost us. I didn't bring anything but my DH and insurance card. Good luck, I hope this RE does great things for you.
