Wink first real post -- hi everyone!

This is just to introduce myself, I am new to this board and this is my first "new topic" post.
I am 30 yo, 5'4", 130 lbs. Married since 08/1999, ttc#1 since 01/2002. I was diagnosed with PCOS at 20yo, before coming to the US. I have no external symptoms, just my very irregular periods, since 12yo. Before going on bcp they were anywhere between 35-120 days, lasting about 7-8 days. The doctor diagnosed me on the spot, based on my report of rare periods and on the ultrasound. I remember him saying I should get on bcp to bleed more often and once I am ttc I probably will, on clomid.
Once in the US, I only stopped my pills once, for 4 months. I got no period, got diagnosed with PCOS by the doctors here as well, took Provera, got AF and returned to the pill.

Finally, my husband and I are now ttc since January. I started Vitex, Dong Quai and some other herbal mix in February, and charting my BBT this month. Clearly no ovulation, my temps are anywhere between 97.3 and 98. No period in three months. Will continue with pretty much the same until June, when I have an appt. with my primary doctor and we'll take it from there.

I am glad to have found this board and all the subtopics, especially TTC and the thin cysters! Nice to know I'm in such a good company :-)

Good luck to you all and feel free to e-mail me!

Thanks for listening,
Oana

Hi Oana, Welcome
My name is Angela and I have been tring to concieve for about 3yrs.I took clomid which is a very common drug that helps you ovulate. I had no luck with it so I'm taking injections which is stronger med to make you ovulate. I hope this will finally be my month to get pregnat. You wrote there that you see your primary Dr in june, that is a really long wait. He should start you on meds to get you ovulating. Good luck when you see him.

Angela,

Thanks for your reply! I know June is far away, but I feel like I've been on the pill for so long I want to give my body a break and listen to what it has to say. So far it's been pretty quiet . It's probably a waste of time, but I want to learn some of my "body signs", temperature, etc, before I go seek treatment. I am taking herbs, and I do occasionally feel "just about to ovulate". But then it passes..

Good luck to you this month, lots of baby dust and keep us posted on your progress!

Oana

I hope you get familiar with your body, That sounds like a good idea. I know nothing with mine except I know I've never ovulated on my own. I tried the tempature charts and found they looked like the rocky mountains so I gave up. This pcos really messes things up. Good Luck
