To those of you who have fell ill with the H1N1 already, can please share what your first symptoms were? I am feeling sick, I'm thinking it could be a sinus headache, but then my throat is starting to feel a little sore. I just don't want to self-medicate or procrastinate if it is something a little worse than a sinus cold. Thanks in advance girls!

on Monday this week I was feeling very larthargic and tuesday was fine well wends I had sore throat headache and wends night I started coughing getting stuffed up all kinds of stuff went tothe doc yesterday and its just the crud they wouldnt even give me a prescription for anything told me to take mucinex.I had to pay 30 dollar copay to hear that ,lol so today pretty much feel like crap, but havent had body aches like I do with the flu. So maybe keep an eye on it they said if your symptoms get worse you have to get in there within 2 days so they can give you tamiflu.

A bunch of my coworkers have had it, every one started with a sore throat. You better believe that I'll be calling my doc the minute (if) I feel that first post nasal drip. I have a friend who's 29 weeks & is in the hospital as we speak. Scary stuff! I'm not an alarmist by any means, sometimes to a fault, but this is one thing I won't risk. I even went home early the other day b/c one sick coworker was here coughing all over the place- yep, she had it diagnosied the next day. GL, I hope you feel better soon!!!

They are now calling any flu the swine flu, since the symptoms are so similar to any other flu and supposedly the test for it is inaccurate. So it's not certain how many people actually have the swine flu vs. the regular flu.

Hmmm.... My DD and I have been sick for 5 weeks with nasal and chest congestion, all sorts of phlegm and mucus coming out. It started out as sniffles for about 2 weeks, then sore throat from post nasal drip, then stuffy nose and now cough. DD had a fever for 2 days only and I took her to the doctor twice and she's now on her 2nd dose of antibiotics. Don't know if it's swine flu or not because her Dr wouldn't test her, but all I know is that we are sick and tired of being sick and tired! Prior to finding out I was pregnant, I was taking all sorts of OTC meds to help alleviate my congestion. Now I'm suffering without any meds. UGH! I hope I didn't hurt my little one!

I swore my bf was coming down with it over the weekend. He had a killer sore throat, stuffy head, and cough. Today he is much better, only a slight naggy cough and some stuffiness.

They had a nice special on the Fox news tonight about how pregnant women are the main concern of the H1N1 strain.. confirming death can occur in as little as 24 hours! Good golly like we don't have ENOUGH to worry about! So now my annoying chesty cough and stuffy nose are making me worry! They tell you that symptoms like body aches, lathargy (aka sleepy), diahreah may accompany it.. but I have those symptoms every day of pregnancy! Ahhhh, how do you KNOW when to call??
