I went in for CD 4 u/s yesterday. No cysts, estrogen levels were good, so I started Menopur and Follistim last night. I was nervous, too. But it wasn't too bad. Menopur burns going in, but some people who have used Gonal-f say it isn't too bad. Good luck!!

I went in yesterday for my day 1 U/S - all clear. I start Gonal F injections tomorrow evening. We'll do a trigger shot and IUI this round. It's our first round of injectables so I'm not at all sure what to expect.

I hope we'll all get to share some good news later this month

First two gonal f shots down, last night and tonight. It was easier than I thought... quick and painless. Only side effects are achy breasts. After years of not preventing, it feels good to be doing something, but after no luck with clomid, it's hard to let myself believe that this might work.

I hope everyone is doing well tonight - looking forward to hearing updates!
Cheers,
Eileen

Eileen, I know the "no-luck with Clomid, will this even work" feeling. I started stimming on Thursday and at yesterday's u/s, all was good. I triggered last night, CD 8. I have an IUI tomorrow morning. So it went by super quick for me. I guess I just have a super potent combination of meds.

Heather - what great news! I didn't know it could happen so fast! Best of luck tomorrow!

I'm just on Gonal F... so no idea if it will take 10 days... or maybe more... first U/S tomorrow after starting the meds. It feels good just to be doing something different, so definitely hopeful. Clomid was just such a confusing experience... I wasn't really responding, and felt terrible when I took it and wasn't monitored nearly as closely as when on injectables.

One thing I'm having a hard time with is Pharmacies and my insurance co. I have infertility coverage which is great, but they aren't contracted with many pharmacies that carry fertility meds... The one they are contracted with has still not sent the authorization forms through... they are very slow.

In order to save this cycle, I actually had to order a small quantity of meds from another much more efficient, but un-contracted pharmacy and pay out of pocket... I'm hoping I can get the rest of them in time (or I'll have to order another batch out of pocket.) It so frustrating, but I'm glad it worked out and we were able to start when we did.

Have a great day everyone,
Eileen

Hi ladies, just wanted to share that this is my first round of injectables... My doc has me on repronex and just raised my dose to 3 vials a day because i'm not responding as he thought i would... very discouraging... My estrogen levels are low and it looks like this cycle may be a bust...

Just a little burning when injecting but that's it. Today i had an ultrasound on day 7 with repronex and no follicles... I'm just wondering if it will ever happen... Just looking for support... Thanks ladies and good luck... Lots of baby dust...

Just something to think about-I took a resting cycle just before this cycle. I had a cyst and it was producing a lot of estrogen. So I opted for the bcp and stuck with them with for the three weeks. I think my follicles started growing as soon as the pill was done instead of waiting for AF. So my ovaries seem to have had a jump start.

Good U/S and blood work yesterday (day 6) a couple of follies and my levels were good - staying the course at 75ui of Gonal F. I go back tomorrow morning for another U/S and blood draw.

How's everyone else doing?

Cheers,
Eileen

Hey ladies, Just an update i'm on cd13 and my doctor wants to raise my dose to 300iu... Do you think this is wise? I'm not responding to the medication and he decided to raise the dose for another 4 days... What do you think? This cycle is getting really expensive... I don't know how much more I can spend on meds...

Still Hopeful, I think maybe next cycle, they should think about doing a combo of meds. I did the combo of meds and my results were crazy!

Hi everyone,

I had my second U/S and blood draw this morning (cd 8 - 5 days of Gonal F)

Things are progressing slowly... multiple follies on either ovary in the 10mm range. She said that due to my pcos it would likely take longer, but that my estrogen levels were good. She said that we'd like get to where we need to by by cd 14 - cd 17 or so. They've kept me on 75ui tonight and tomorrow night and want me back in for monitoring on Sunday morning.

Anyone else have any experience with this. I've read that sometime pcos necessitates stimming longer, I'm just on the gonal and when ready I'll be doing the Ovidrel trigger and IUI.

Have a great weekend everyone!
Eileen
