Default First week on Yasmin :[

hi ladies. i've been on yasmin for 7 days now and i'm just wondering if i could some advice!

i was on provera for 10 days. 3 days after finishing up provera, AF arrived and lasted 7 days..though i am experiencing very, very light breakthrough bleeding (likely from yasmin).

i woke up in the middle of the night only a few hours after taking yasmin and was very panicky and had a very fast pulse. i continued with the pill and for the next 4 nights i was fine. on the 5th night, however, i had terrible tingling in my left arm and after a while noticed my right arm was tingling as well. i could not get to sleep until 6am because i was so uncomfortable and worried. i also felt like that on the 6th night and i also noticed my lower lip was numb for a little while. i just took my 7th pill last night and i'm still having the tingling sensation in my arm and i've got a headache, too. ugh...it's 6am right now!! i cannot get to sleep. i'm starting to feel that i might throw up..

it's hell! i haven't thrown up for the first 7 days and i'm not experiencing any breast tenderness (yet? haha). i'm thinking of making a dr's appoinment because i'm not sure if i should stop taking them but wanted to know if any of y'all have had similar experiences.

i've been reading loads of reviews on yasmin that ...aren't exactly positive as well as reading about strokes and i'm making myself mad!!

I would call your doctor and just explain what you are going through.

I was on Yasmin for YEARS and never had any problems. But everyone is different. Sometimes it's hard to sift through the stuff available about different pills because most of the stuff out there is what goes wrong with them. People who have good experiences are going to feel less compelled to write about it. But, like I said, everyone is different. Try not to get yourself too freaked out about reading stuff about this pill or that--though I know that's way easier said than done. I would call the Dr and explain everything that's going on and ask his/her advice.

Good luck!!

hi rubies....reading here can get you freaked out. but like criketina advised......check with your dr quickly......its not nice to get the kind of sensation you are describing.
