Question Fish Oil OK to freeze and other questions???

I tried this on another thread but didn't get an answer so I thought I'd ask here.

I just bought the Omega 3 fish oil capsules and started taking them. I have noticed a couple of times a little fishy taste if I burp but it's not too bad. I remember reading somewhere about freezing them to help with this. Does anyone here do this and will it change the potency?

I am taking 1000mg twice a day. Should I take more?

Is there anything I shouldn't take at the same time? I just started a B-complex with high B12. I'm on met and verapamil. I checked all the meds from the sticky for combo of meds and nothing came up but I thought I remembered something about calcium absorption. Who knows?? I've read so much!!!

Thanks in advance for your help!

I wouldn't freeze them... especially if they are gel caps. I would put them in a refridgerator first to see if that helps.

I noticed when I first started to take my Omega-3's they left an odd taste in my mouth if I burped. I solved this by taking them with a bit of milk or a spoonfull of yogurt.

Hope this helps.

hello there! Im thinking its never a good thing to expose a capsule to an extreme temp. But I do come bearing good news! I have a really hard time with the fishy burps too, and a good friend told me about enteric-coated fish oil. Guess what?!? No more burps! It releases the oil further down your colon or something. I dont really know exactly how it works, but I know for fact that it DOES work! I got it in the organic foods section of my grocery store. Good luck!!
