Default Flourescent urine from B-complex??

I think I read a post once where the person was asking if anyone else had flourescent yellow urine, but I can't find it.

Ever since I starting taking a B-complex vitamin my urine has become a very bright yellow color. It's the same shade as a flourescent yellow highlighter. It's only like this in the morning/afternoon--except not right after I wake up. I take my vitamins with breakfast at about 7:45 and by 9:30/10:00 it has changed color. By evening it's back to it's usual color. I'm just wondering if this has happened to anyone else and if it is normal. I drink plenty of water so I don't think that's the reason for it (my water consumption has not changed recently, either). The vitamin tablets are a yellow color . . . . maybe it's related.

Default me too

Yep-kind of freaks you out when you first "go." Happens to me too-don't know if it's the color of the pill or if it's flushing stuff out of ya. I don't think it's anything to worry about.

I thought I wasn't getting enough water LOL! Turns out . . . it's just the B-vitamin. Kinda threw me off first thing in the morning . . .

Yep, this happens to me too. At first, I didn't know whether it was the B-complex or the Saw Palmetto. So, I skipped one a day and discovered that it was the B-Complex. Does anyone know what causes it. And is it a bad thing.

Default Me too!

I started taking a B-Complex mid-cycle my last cycle. I had thought that it might be the vitamin...but I wasn't totally sure. Whew!

BTW, this also happens to my DH who takes the same B Complex as I.

This thread just happened to catch my eye, and I'm so glad it did. I've been wondered the last couple of days what on earth was wrong because every time I pee it's hi-lighter yellow! But sure enough, now that I've read these messages, I realize that it started right about the time I started taking a B-complex supplement. What a relief to find out it's something so simple...

B vitamins are water soluble which means that your body 'takes' what it needs and then excretes the rest.

It's a totally normal reaction... (talk about money down the toilet )

If you have to pass a pee test for a job... (drug tests...)... they tell you to waterload and take B vitamins, that way your pee is still yellow.

Personally, I always thought handing the lab tech a container of highlighter water would arouse more suspiscion than clear pee but, hey, whatever works...

It makes my pee really bright yellow, too.

I wonder what it looks like under a black light? I think I might just check it out...
