Hi.
I have been taking 500 mg of Flutamide a day. My doctor wants me to up that does to 750. I am a bit nervous about it. Does anyone else out there take that much or know anyone who takes that high of a dosage?

what did you start out with? How do YOU feel the 500 is working for you? I know in lower doses, the liver issue is not a huge risk but at the higher doses, it is.

Severely Obese, insulin resistant, rapidly progressing hirsutism and hairloss (male pattern balding), severe acne

I started out with the 500 mg and have done that for about 8 months. I have slowly lost 30 lbs. I think my hair is thicker and I have noticed a reduction in the facial and arm hair. I think he wants me to lose about another 10 lbs.

It seems like it is working for you! If you change things up, you run the risk of OVER doing it. Maybe add 125 mg if you really want to up the dose, but you'll be adding 50% by upping to 750.
