 Flutamide Experiences
My endo just switched me to flutamide for hair loss from finasteride (proscar/proprecia) because of daily problems with migraines, headaches, eye pain or nausea (and on those lucky days, a combo of those symptoms). The same thing happened when I went on BCP. Apart from the side effects, finasteride was a miracle, my hair stopped falling out and my skin totally cleared up, so even with the ill effects, I was reluctant to go off of it. I've been on a month's hormone therapy vacation, and now every time I shower, it looks like I've been there with a gorilla for the amount of hair in the drain.
How have others experiences been on flutamide? Any problems with reactions to estrogen levels? How well did it work? I really hope this stuff works because I don't know how many options are left out there for me, and I really don't want to be bald, I look terrible in hats. |
