Default Fluttering sensation

Okay girls I have a REALLY really strange question to ask.
For the last few weeks Ive had this sensation in my stomach area that feels like someone its tapping on the inside of my stomach. I know it sounds really strange and I dont know if it has anything to do with pcos. I have done a preg test about four weeks ago and it was negative. Im not TTC so I dont think its coming from wishful thinking. The tapping seems to be more promident when im laying down or just after eating. Its really strange can anyone suggest anything??

Thanks!

My stomach has done that a couple of times before. The same as you when I'm laying down or after I ate. It feels wierd. I think butterflies are flying around trying to get out.
Maybe it is just our stomachs saying hello, or it is digesting. I don't think it is anything to worry about.

i get it all the time and mine is caused by my cyst moving around and twisting.
Sometimes DH can even see it moving!
my cyst is huge at the moment though (about 16cm)

It's awful especialy when your ttc and you want nothing more than believe your pg and its a baby moving around in there.

do you have any cysts?

Is it possible that it's heart palpitations? I get that same feeling just below my breasts (or at least, that where it feels like the sensation is coming from) and it's heart palpitations....

The only other time I've ever felt that fluttering in my stomach area was when I was pregnant. Never from gas (although I know some people do get it from gas).

Thanks so much for the post, it's wierd, because you can see it, and it most closely resembles a baby's kick, never thought to associate it with PCOS

It may be small muscle spasms. I get them from time to time. Eating foods high in potassium, such as bananas or prunes, will get rid of them.

It sounds like you are around 19 or 20 weeks pregnant.....but you have done a pregnancy test and it was neg,...so you have lost me....

Maybe just gas or a nerve going off. Hope its not too uncomfortable or unpleasant.

If it gets worse or is worrying you.. ..it can't hurt to go to the doctor and get it checked out.

I have wondered the exact same thing!!! I get this often. Usually when I am laying down in bed. My tubes have been tied so I know there is no chance of me being pregnant, but it triggers the thinking every time it happens. I am not sure what it is, I am going to ask the doctor next time I see him and let you know!

I also get fluttering feelings near by tummy, but I have figured out that the are heart palpitations. That usually sets off a panic attack for me, I'm glad to hear you don't have anxiety with your fluttering.
