Foggy mind,periods w/o BCP??

I read in passing in another post something about metformin clearing the fog in her mind. Are we talking lack of concentration and forgetfulness?? Is this something that goes along with the PCOS?? Also, has anyone found something other than the BCP that lets them get a regular period? I stopped my BCP for 7 mo and for a while anyway, I got my libido back but then I got the tell tale "period from hell" when I finally got back on the BCP in August.

Any information is greatly appreciated!!

which birth control pill(s) are you/have you been on?

I don't even remember the first one I was put on back in 1998. In the recent years I have been on Yasmin and I did 2 mo of Ortho-Tricyclin(sp). My periods were long and heavy on the Ortho, so I asked to go back on the Yasmin. I'm only on the birth control to get my periods, I don't ovulate on my own, but I don't like the way it makes me feel when I'm on them. I have no sex drive( to my DH dismay) and I would love to be off of them.
