My Mood: Points: 1,503.85 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 1,503.85 | Follies keep stopping!!! Ok, i just needed to vent- I have had two IUI's cancelled now because my follies stop growing and my estrodil levels do not rise. First cycle was just on Femara (and aspirin, metformin, vitamins, dexamehtasone, of course To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 10 or greater. You currently have 0 posts. ) and I had 2 follies that stopped at 13mm. Second cycle was on Femara and Menopur (75) every other day for cycle days 5-13 and had 3 follies, one at 9mm, one at 10mm and one at 12mm. Had to wait in between the 2 cycles to do cyst suppression as well.
Now, my doc tells me that I will be bumped up to Femara and Gonal-F, starting earlier in the cycle (day 3), and bumping up the dose every other shot (75, then 150). Anyone had success with super resistant ovaries? I do ovulate, just usually really late in the cycle it seems. |

It's so frustrating. I am on my first cycle of gonal f and so far it is working wonders. I have 2-3 follies and should have my first ever IUI later this week. The gonal f is also supposed to improve the quality of the eggs. I hate to say "stay positive," because all of us with pcos know what a rollercoaster ttc is, but I hope you have better luck on the gonal f! |

I think I would feel better if we had been able to do an IUI and were not pregnant yet- I just feel at such a standstill! But, my DH keeps reminding me that medications take a while to figure out the right "recipe", so I'll stay positive! |

I've had no luck with meds since last September, so every month going in and finding out that I was at a dead end was torture, because then you have to do nothing but WAIT for the next cycle. I know exactly how you feel & hope that you find something that works for you. Once it's figured out though, it will be completely worth it!

Points: 2,661.69 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 2,661.69 | I've experienced the same type of thing for the last 2 months on 2 different meds! First on Femara and then on Follistim. Everything would be growing and going well on cd 5-7 then all of a sudden my estradiol plummets and the follies either stop growing or start shrinking. It's beyond frustrating.
The odd thing is that I responded very well (follie maturation-wise) on Clomid and Femara before. I don't know why my last 2 cycles have gone so poorly. Hang in there and know that there are other girls experiencing the same thing!

My Mood: Points: 3,673.16 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 3,673.16 | I tried clomid, femara, gonal-f, follistim, bravelle, HCG, and menopur in many different dosages and combinations. Finally, it was the femara, menopur and HCG that did it (no IUI). It worked the first time!
Hope this helps
