Default Foods make me sick

This has been a problem for me for many years but is becoming an increasing issue as I get older (I'm 34). I have an aversion to certain foods that is limiting my diet. Mind you, the foods that my body seems to "reject" are foods that I've come to realize are not good for me and for my PCOS. At this point I think my body is trying to get it across to me that it doesn't "want that". I can't eat meat at all-- it makes me positively nauseous--especially poultry. In the past 5 months or so I have been an organic vegetarian and my body seems to be responding very well to it. If I splurge, however, and eat something my body doesn't "like" I do get a nausous feeling. I am PHOBIC about throwing up and have managed to avoid it all these years--but I feel lousy when I get that feeling--I usually manage to stop eating whatever it is I can't handle before it gets to that point.

Has anyone else experienced anything like this?

I am eating much healthier as a result and I ovulated ON MY OWN last mont for the first time ever, so I'm not complaining, but I find the whole thing odd.

I don't see if you are Met. or not, but that can cause food aversion and such.

What foods do you eat on your diet that do not make you like this? Could you be allergic to certain foods? I have gone through times where certain foods make me sick just to think about them. I usually eat more fruits then. What diet are you on and do you start your day off with just fruit, nothing else?

I have exactly the same thing and the older than I getting the worse it is. I cant eat pasta, chicken, prawns and there are many more. Its strange really because I cant see one common ingredient that would make me feel that way ? But at least I know that I am not alone feeling like this !

Yep I get like that when I am stressed out. it gets so bad sometimes food will repulse me! which is nothing like what I am when I am not stressed usually I can't stop eating. But anywho I have found that if I take mylanta or somthing like that 5 minutes before I eat it helps. It doesn't work everytime but it does help pretty well.

I have the same problem... I cannot handle the smell or taste of cucumber! I used to LOVE the stuff, now i cant stand it. Basically any salad ingredient makes me feel ill. Some tomato's do it too. As well as Tuna! I can eat a tuna sandwich, but I cannot eat Tuna in a salad, it makes me gag horribly. I thinks its the Salad that is a problem.. Really makes things difficult at times because when trying to loose weight, salad is always good. But with me now, I just cannot stomach the idea of eating salad....

wow, I thought I was just going nuts! I can no longer eat ANY "salad" sandwich- egg, tuna, chicken, YUCK-O! Also, red meat seems to repulse me now too- my mom always makes steaks and prime rib while I'm home to "celebrate" and I always force myself to eat it. Also dairy products- similar to llamaluver- I can not eat yogurt. I first thought I was lactose intolerant (I certainly am) but even foods that the dietitian that I work with says do NOT contain lactose that are dairy products make me feel super sick. wow I miss Pizza.
I'm trying to eat healthy and everything tells you to eat yogurt, cottage cheese, etc, and I can't do any of that!

there are loads of foods i am really sensitive too.
I never know if its my pcos, ibs or acide reflex causing me so much discomfort and pain when i am eating.
My diet is very, very limited most meats are out of the qustion, loads of fruits and vegetbale make me really sick (so eating healthy is a really hard), most diary food i can only eat after i take antacide medicine. the only thng that don't make me feel sick is plain rice.
