Do you like the brand name Met? The generic form Gluc? Or Gluc XR? Why or why not?
GLUCOPHAGE is actually the brand name, and the METFORMIN HCI the generic form, not the other way around.
I've been on Nu-Metformin since July 2001, and just switched to Glycon in Sept 2003 (both are forms of metformin). I really like the glycon because the pills are coated and they don't stink like my other pills did. I have never been on either Glucophage or the XR (XR not available in Canada), but my results with the meds, diet and exercise have been just awesome in terms of bloodwork, weight etc., so if given the chance I wouldn't change a thing.
Hope it helps.

Hi I've been on Gluc 2000mg. Then Metformin 1500 mg. Now Gluc 1000 mg. I prefer the Gluc. over the Met. I've seen results with the Gluc. not with the Met. Plus, I felt really bad, tired, and run down on the Met. I have so much more energy on the Gluc.
