Talking Found the BEST product ever!! LOW CARB BREAD!!!

At the Natural Food Pantry here in Ottawa they have low carb bread made by Food For Life.

You can go on the website (www.foodforlife.com) & check it out under "product information".

There are 2 types of low carb bread, regular (has a bit of cinnamon in it - good for french toast or to eat with pb) & savory herb (has onion in it - yum!)

Both types have only 4 grams of carbs per slice, minus 1 gram of fibre = 3 net carbs!!! AWESOME!!!!

I have tried both kinds of the bread & they are both delicious.

I just bought some low carb bread by Natures Own. It has 7 carbs and I think 2-3 fiber. So pretty low too..but I think it smells kind of funny. But it wasn't too bad.

I keep mine in the freezer & then just break a piece or 2 off & toast it. I think that low carb bread doesn't stay fresh as long as regular bread?? Try freezing it, it might not smell as much.

I haven't noticed a bad smell from Food For Life low carb bread. It's expensive though!! $5.99 per loaf (CDN) but worth it to me. I can finally have toast with my eggs again. Heaven

Smile low carb bread

I've been a lurker at this site forever and am now just starting to participate. Thanks very much for the info on the low carb bread. I'm going to stop and pick some up on my way home tonight! I'll be so happy to eat a guilt free sandwich.

I actually bought a loaf of each at the health food store yesterday. I tried the regular, and I was impressed! I think that this will keep me from breaking down and binging on bread since I can have a slice or two daily. Check your local stores--they were only $3.99 a loaf at whole foods market
