Thumbs up Foundation

Hi,
I too have very oily skin, and have tried many things that cause me to break out.
The only foundation that I can use (and doesn't melt off due to the oil) is Chanel. It's outrageously expensive but the bottle lasts for 4-6 months. Everything else I have tried makes me break out the first time I put it on.
I like Chanel's MULTI-VITAMIN NATURAL MAKEUP SPF 15
(TEINT FLUIDE UNIVERSEL) as it covers nicely with out leaving the line of demarkation!
It's also great for those of us who are quite pale!
Good Luck!!

I just started using Revelon Color stay Makeup. I have a very fair complexion and the ivory tone is perfect for me. It is oil free and once you put it on, it doesn't budge. I also like that it is oil free. It is $10.86 a bottle at wal-mart.

Default Don't Like Laura Mercier Oil free foundation

I tried this makeup and hated it. Its oil free and I read of it on another board. Its 38.00 a bottle but I thought you get what you pay for so this should be great. It goes on like paste. Not very smooth at all going on. I need my foundation to glide. I do use estee lauder camoflauge makeup and i love it but I figured maybe there is something just as good out there I might be missing.
Does anyone have any others that are high end and that glide on smooth and cover good. I never have any luck at all with drugstore brands.

I just thought i would let you all know what has worked great for me!!
I use Neutrogena skin clearing oil-free foundation. It has salicylic acid in it to clear up and prevent new break outs. It covers good and stays in place all day! The only down fall to it is they only have like 6-8 different shades. I am am fairly light but their light is too light and the next shade is too dark, so I just mix the two together, and that works out fine! you can buy it for about $10.00 at almost any store. And it really does clear up any pimples!

Mathisk:

When im feeling lush.. seriously like $60.00 a bottle lush, which isnt very often.. I treat myself to Chanel's Teint Naturel. Its Semi-matte, medium to full coverage. It glides on like a dream, but theres no way I could or would wear it everyday, I wander around feeling like I smeared gold on my face its so expensive.

There is this other Chanel one I want to try next, as soon as I finish off the current bottle I have. Its called Double Perfection Fluide. Heres what the website said about it, sounds fab to me

"A natural for the ultimate natural-looking matte makeup with shine control. SPF 15.

Light to medium coverage, day-long control of oil and shine, and a super-comfortable feel. Ingenious light-reflecting pigments disguise imperfections.

Spherical powders reflect light to give the appearance of a beautifully smooth, even complexion. Traces of fatigue appear to vanish. Skin is protected with SPF 15. Oil free. Fragrance free. Dermatologist tested. Comedogenicity tested.

Use fingertips to dab onto face, then blend gently with small circular movements, smoothing from center outwards. Don't forget your eyelids -- foundation makes an ideal base for eye makeup."

My face usually gets pretty shiney throughout the day, so Im always looking for something to help with that. But I have to say, when I want or need my skin to look its best I go for the good stuff.. it really does make a difference.

For my daily foundation (when I do wear makeup) I like the Cover Girl's foundation thats like a powder or rather a cake makeup thing, I forget the name of it right now. Its got a good coverage and is pretty fast to use. I never use a powder on my face anymore, I finally realized that when I put powder on over my foundation, it accentuated all of the little, and not so little, hairs on my face, made them look worse!

Have fun!! Dont forget when you buy the spensive stuff to get alllll of the little freebies that they have too!

I had no idea chanel has such good foundations. I like the sound of the one you are already using. I like more coverage ( in my old age) and the other said sheer/light coverage. I do have a chanel lipstick that i paid a forturne for and i only wear it for special occasions. It is one of those high shine ones in a beautiful hot pink shade . Its awsome and it lasts and the color is so beautiful. I got it for my wedding day. I would get the makeup. I know i would like it and want to wear it daily but i guess i could just use it for special occasions. Thanks for the tip.
