Can someone please suggest a good foundation which can cover stubble effectively.
Thanks.

I always like Max Factor pancake foundation. It covers the best of anything that I've found. I've actually started using Palladio wet/dry too. It works pretty well and you can put it on dry.

I use MAC full coverage foundation sparingly in places I feel most self-conscious about (for me it's the jawline). Then use mineral makeup foundation powder all over the face. Works well for me
I haven't checked this myself, but somewhere on line there are bound to be websites for drag queens. Some of these guys are absolutely BEAUTIFUL when they're "done". And most have WAY more stubble than we ever will. But they have special techniques and I'm sure products that work specifically for this.
I hope you're not offended by the suggetion, I've been friends with some great drag queens in the past and they're some of the most accepting and understanding people on earth. I chalk it up to that they'er a little "different" too, although theirs is by choice so they tend to sympathise a little more when one is forced into it.

Ohhhh!! I hadn't even thought of that- there is a company called Ben Nye that makes theatrical makeup. Many people use it as their regular ol' makeup, though, as they have awesome eyeshadow colors. Anyway, they have a range of concealers called Five O'Sharp. It's meant to cover beards/stubble! Not too expensive either, I haven't tried that particular item but I think it's only $7 a pop. You can usually only find their stuff at theatrical supply stores.
I have a lot of hair, and for several years now I have been using Bare Minerals. I just tried Everyday Minerals (a lower priced product that is the same as Bare Minerals) too. I really like these products because they don't seem to "stick" to the hair at all, which other makeups seem to do (which IMO makes it much more noticeable).

Oh, and if you decide on Bare Minerals, a good place to get them is on Ebay. BUT, if you want to try the Everyday Minerals, you can go to the website (i think it is everydayminerals.com just google it) and they have a free sample (you pay shipping of like $3 something). It is PLENTY of makeup to try for several days and see what you think.

I have always found that when I wear make-up it makes mine darker.
I am going to check on the Everyday Minerals and give that a shot. I may be using the wrong kind of make up. I get just some cheap cover girl from walmart.

I am with Stacie. I am a Bare Escentuals Addict! I love their bareminerals and I also love everyday minerals. The makeup melds to the skin, instead of absorbing into it, and doesn't attach to the hair. I hope that makes sense. Bare Escentuals has some great colors and everyday minerals has a ton of foundation colors and different coverage types.
I use the Bare Minerals too, but I need something else to help cover the razor burn. The Bare Minerals do pretty well, but just not enough to make me feel confident that it's not standing out like a red flag. I have heard a lot of good things about MAC, so I might give that a try.

Have you tried one of the Norelco range of men's electric razors? They're designed for very sensitive skin and though my skin is ultra-sensitive and I can't use soap at all, my Norelco has never given me razor burn.
have you Tried corrective makeup? Physicians Formula sells a Yellow and Green that can help cover a lot of the problems... This is the method I use and it helps hide a lot of flaws. The yellow is great for area's I've shaved and the green is great for Red bumps or anything like that. I just thought I'd throw this out there for other's to try.
Joyblack, I have not tried Norelco electric razors. I've always been worried that I wouldn't get a close enough shave with an electric, so I've never used one. What model do you use/prefer?
SilverFairy, I did try the Physicians Formula and it was too hard or something to really do anything for me. And by the time I got the redness covered, I was green. I then tried to blend it and lost the covering effect.
Thanks for the suggestions, eventually I'll find my perfect products. It only took me 26 years to find the perfect shampoo.

I would love to know that too???
Whether I use a regular or electric I still have the razor burn and my face gets almost scaly by the end of the work day. I apply moisturizer like crazy before I put on my makeup, but it still looks like extremely dry skin. Do you have that problem, or is it just the redness?
I have to be very careful about the kind of lotion I use after I shave also, because alot of them burn like crazy. I have found one by Clinique that I love, it is called dramatically different moisturizing gel and it feels wonderful, but my skin still looks really dry, later in the day.
Also I have a 5 O' Clock shadow by about lunch time and my skin is too sensitive to shave again, any suggestions. I reapply makeup, but I feel like it just makes it look worse. I need new makeup that is for sure. I would love to try the Bare minerals, I am just afraid that it won't work and I will be out the money. I am definitely going to order the free samples of the Everyday minerals and see how it holds up.
JoyBlack- I am definitely going to look into the Norelco brand razors.
I use the new Quad disposable razor now, and it shaves the closest of any that I have found so far, but you have the razor burn to deal with. I shave in the shower under really warm water and I use a combo of sensitive skin shaving gel and plain hair conditioner (a tip from another pcos shaver) and then I immediately moisturize when I get out. Just looking for a better way!
