Recent laws require nurses to have 30 continuing education points every 2 years, and each point frequently costs about $20.00, so sites with free CEU's have become very sought out. A very popular nursing website is Nurse.com. I was shocked to see a 5 page article on pcos. (At first, I felt that sinking feeling in the pit of my stomach knowing all my coworkers read this and thinking oh my gosh now they'll all know whats's wrong with me), but after a few minutes, just being happy that the info is getting out there. I never heard of PCOS in nursing school and just about every nurse I've spoken to about it, has never heard of it. I also work with many physicians, it seems to me that newer docs, or docs who are generally interested in obgyn or have worked in that area for a while are the only ones who know about it. So, I think it's great to get some information out to medical personnel. I'll attach a link if anyone wants to read article or any nurses looking for CEU's.
