Default Frequent Periods

Period every two weeks. I am a bit confused and actually think I may have been misdiagnosed. I went to the doctor bc I was bleeding every two weeks (technically during ovulation). None of my test results appear to be abnormal, except for an irregular lh:fsh ratio which my doctor says is nothing bc it was during ovulation. I am a thin cyster and I do have acne and some facial hair...but hey, I am Italian. I guess I am a bit confused bc I thought people with PCOS miss their periods and ovulation....not have too many. Thoughts? Stories?

Hi Catherine,

I, too, have very frequent periods but do not ovulate. I was diagnosed with PCOS and I have very few symptoms. I just started on met this week and have been pretty sick! My doc hopes that when I come off the pill, the met will regulate me enough so that I don't have my period all the time. How do you know that you're ovulating? My doc said that having a period doesn't mean you're ovulating- especially when it's so irregular.

Good luck!

Hi Teacher,
I know I am ovulating from the ultrasounds I have on a pretty regular basis. I am also on Metformin 1500 mg. I am sick too on a pretty regular basis. Try bread products.

Default I have the same problem

I been having my period every 2 weeks too. The last time I went to a doc about pcos, she gave me bc pills and told me everything would go back to normal. I took the pills for couple months and my period was coming only once a month.Soon as I stopped taking them it went back to every 2 weeks again. I couldn't take them anymore because I would feel sick to my stomach and dizzy all the time. Now I'm not sure what to do either....
