Does anyone like these?
I tried them in a restaurant and didn't like them; they were cold.
I am thinking about trying to make them myself.
Anyone got a good recipe?

cold???
They are better hot.
Most people make them w/equal parts corn meal and flour seasoned w/salt and pepper. Dip them in egg and cover w/flour, cornmeal mixture and fry. Make sure your grease is hot.
I like more flour than corn meal and I use Lowrys or Tony Cachets in the mix to season. I've only made them a few times so someone else might have more experience. Red tomatoes are good that way too!
I like them hot and as a sandwich on toasted bread. YUM!

I invented my own recipe for them a few years ago. I used bread crumbs instead of flour and mixed in salt, pepper, garlic powder and a little cumin to taste.
I've also tried mixing equal parts of breadcrumbs and parmesan. It's yummy.
FYI, you can do this with any relatively crunchy vegetable. I have used it on zucchini and eggplant as well
