hi! I'm 23, from north italy.. i'm so happy i found you but i'm also sad because there's nothing like this in my country! finding you makes me feel not alone any more..
even if i know about my PCOs from 2000 only now i found a doctor who seems to really take the situation seriously.. i suspended the therapy two weeks ago so i can have a new whole hormonal analysis again.. but as you maybe may know thisi is the hard part:waiting for menses with all the old simptoms that pop up again!
ii keep on telling me that i'm doing it for my health but sometimes is so hard and i feel so angry!!even angry to feel ashamed of my problems.. does this feeling stop growing up?
thanks for this opportunity that Sc gives me and sorry for my english!
Welcome to the board. You will find that these ladies are so wonderful. They will help you with any questions that you have.
I have always felt the same way as you. Growing up in a Sicilian family, it was hard to explain things to anyone. My mother doesn't believe that I have PCOS and just tells me that if I lose the weight that I will become pregnant. She calls it lard in the ovaries.
Anyway, I realy hope you find the support that you are looking for.
Ciao Ciao

Welcome to Soul Cysters!!!!! Your English is just fine! I'm so glad you found a new doctor who is willing to work earnestly with you. I have had PCOS for 30+ years. I worked many years with people who have far more severe physical problems than I which changed my attitude. I just accept what I cannot change and learn to manage what I can to the best of my ability. This is just my opinion but once you change your attitude your feelings will follow suit.
