Default Frozen Meals and IR Diet

Being on a budget keeps me limited. I get what is on sale that is healthy, whichever bran is running a sale, the low carb ones are extremely high compared to the healthy choice and lean cusines(when they are on a sale) are cheaper. I usually get the HC ones because they are always on sale, and only the smaller ones. ? though, most all of them have a very small portion of something white, noodles, potatoes rice, etc, even though I have stubbornly tried to remove it all from my diet, will the little bit that is there cause the blood sugar to go up? They are balanced based on the 15/7 concept. Like the one I just ate, chicken, pasta, broccoli, it has 21 net carbs, but 20grams of protein. Does that sound alright, I even ate a low carb yogurt, it has 3 ng, but 12 grams of protein, I figured I ate plenty of protein over carbs? Am I right, I like HC and I want to make lunch easy and hot. Lean cusines low carb versions are too expensive for my taste.

I'm not good at figuring out the exact ratio. I try to make sure that the protein grams are at least 1/2 of the carb grams (I look at the total carbs not the net). My trick for balancing meals that have to many carbs is Tyson Frozen grilled chicken breast strips (since I usually get chicken meals). I add a few of those to my meals, and they seem to work really well.

well maybe I am helping them out a bit, removing the rice and pastas that are in there and going downstairs in my office building and for a buck 30 getting something green like cabbage, broccoli, or green beans.
