| When is it my time?

I'm not sure what to do right now. My fiancee is sitting in the county jail for something that happened over a year ago. He accidentally missed a court date in Colorado *way before I ever met him* and now he's in the local jail here in Marshalltown. It's a misdemeanor charge...and I have called every bail bondsman that is in the phone book. None of them will help me/us. Joe's saying that he was told it would cost $2,000 to get him out. Nobody in my family or his can help us with that matter. So I sit here, alone, in our home that we just moved into on Thursday of last week. The day before I went on a family trip to see my mom's brother (my uncle) in Missouri for the weekend. I got a call at 9 am on Sunday from my soon-to-be father-in-law, telling me that Joe was arrested and in jail. So we wait. What great timing this all is! I should have never gone on that trip. If I wouldn't have gone, Joe would still be here. He got bored and went driving around...and since we're in the process of buying a truck, the thing has no plates on it yet *just haven't had the $90 for it*, so he got pulled over and that's where this all started. There's nothing wrong with the truck...the cop just wanted to make sure that everything was legal. Truck made the check-out. He didn't. My dad is trying to assure me that they aren't going to expedite Joe for a misdemeanor charge, but that next time Joe calls, to make sure to ask him what his court-appointed lawyer's name is, and then talk to that guy/girl about what our options are and what's going to happen. I do NOT want Joe to go to Colorado. I want him out, free, and home with me. Kinda hard to try for a baby when the other half isn't here to "contribute" to the cause. I'm trying to keep up my spirits about all of this, but I have been with him since day 1 back in August...minus the 2-3 days I was gone, we've only been apart for maybe a couple days since August. Mom says we're like "two peas in a pod". Couldn't ask for a better guy. So anyway, if there's any lawyers that are members here, or anyone have a lawyer for a hubby....I'd appreciate some advice if that's possible. I'm going out of my mind cuz I don't know what to do. *sniffle*
