First of all, what time in your cycle was this taken? These hormones vary depending on the time of the cycle and it is usually recommended that you measure these hormones around day 3. My last test was done this past summer on Day 3 of my cycle and my FSH was 6.7 and LH was 3.9.
My labs say the following for normal ranges: FSH:
For follicular phase (pre ovulation): normal range is 3.5-9.0
for mid cycle (around O): normal is 7.0-22.0
for luteal phase (after O): normal is 2.0-10.0 LH:
For follicular phase (pre ovulation): normal range is 1-18
for mid cycle (around O): normal is 5-70
for luteal phase (after O): normal is less than 22
I'm not sure what ratio is considered PCOS or problematic, but I'm sure someone else will share.
Shari
