Ok.... After you have sex how long should you lay down for? Should you lay down.. My husband always tells me lay down dont get up for 20 min. I have to go pee soooo bad in those 20 mins everytime.. Also I was reading on here that you should have sex every other day but not more then once a day.
The longer you can lay down the better I have read it takes about an hour for his swimmers to make their journey. However even if you cant lie down after some of them should still be able to do the job. More than once a day will not increase your chances because he need time to replenish his guys. As for the every day vs every other day theory it can depend on him. My doctor suggests every other day for us because my husband has low volume (number and mobility fine) so he has longer to build up. Some doctors suggest every day if he checks out fine.

I layed down for about 10-15mins but if you use instead cups you can pop one in and get up right away and the sperm will stay where they are ment to be.

Well, I try to stay laying down w/ a pillow under my hips for as long as possible. Most dr's and experts say every day during your fertile period is your best chance, unless there's an issue with sperm count, etc.
As far as peeing afterwards to avoid uti's. I've never had an issue with this, so I think it would depend if you have recurrent uti's, or are senstive to getting them. I don't get them that often, I think I've had maybe 3 total in my life, and I personally don't always go to the bathroom right after we dtd.
And yes, the having to pee while laying there is not fun. I get pretty uncomfortable after about 10 minutes due to "other" stuff, and it takes all I have not to immediately "clean". I know, TMI.

Although I would lay there for about 10 minutes after for insurance, I have read & heard from my docs that the force from the ejaculation is strong enough to send the swimmers where they need to go. Yes, it does take a while for the swimmers to make it to the final destination, but I believe they get enough thrust from the ejaculation, if you know what I mean. Of course it doesn't hurt to lay there a few minutes, but it may not actually be that beneficial.

This is what i do. Since im never sure when i ovualte. DH and i would have sex every other day from cd14 to cd 22. If you do it every day his sperm count will be lower. Then i lay down for 30 min to an hour. I always pee before just in case i will have to after. Sometimes i put a small pillow under my hips. I do this all cuz i dont want to take any chances. I started to this about 3 months ago, and got my bfp this month!

The experts seem to echo the idea of laying down afterwards (with your hips up, preferably) for about a half an hour, however I was never able to make it that long. I think my average time was about 10min ... usually shorter because I normally just wait until DH is done with the bathroom.
As far as how often - like people said, unless there's a sperm issue then every day is fine, if you can stand it. For me and my low (or non-existent) libido, every other day was almost more work than pleasure. Fortunately less is apparently more in my case, as we only BD'd 3x's at random intervals the month I conceived.
I lay down after BDing for about 30 minutes. I like to make sure that his "boys" have a better chance of staying where they need to be. My dr told me that we should only have sex every other day so he can have time to build up.

I lay down for 10 minutes after before getting up. I try to pee beforehand so that I won't get the urge right after. We BD pretty much every day at bedtime, so I clean up after 10 minutes and head back to bed...TMI.
I agree with everyday not being an issue if there are no issues with the sperm, although sometimes every day can be a problem for some of us ladies! Works out perfect for DH though because if it were up to him, it would be like twice a day! LOL
I've also heard that the "better" sperm are the ones that are ejaculated first, so since they come out witht he greatest force they should get to where they need to be. In some cases, the stuff that comes out before is pretty potent as well. The in-laws used to practice the withdrawl method and ended up having 2 more kids that way. Of course, MIL was super fertile so DH and I would not be quite as lucky.
