hey im new i am 16 and was diagnoised with pcos when 15. it all started when i was 14 i would be on my period for 3months straight with only a weeks break it was so fustrating and weird i was missing loads of school cause i was always tired and in pain, going to the doctors back an forth like they helped they didnt even no what it was they put it down to my age and my period would regulate its self.. really?? well one year later still getting these very long periods and finaly the doctor suggested to test for psoc only because i said i had a lil hair on my stomach. i was finally diagnosed and put on the pill.... and that was it they go when you plan to have a baby we can help you. BUT hardly the point dont they realise how that can make you feel that maybe you wont have a baby natrually or may not have any at all! i never understood why i had pcos yes i had irregular periods and yes i had some unwanted hair but they sterio type it to much so how are you ment to no if there saying woman with pcos usally have no periods and are over weight. i hate it hate having it there is no support out there. it really does affect me that i might not be able to have kids but what can you do but wait until that time...
i agree with you. pcos is so frustrating i have leanred to accept my symptoms and try to be positive about the future. i wish you luck with your pcos and hope that it improves.

Hey!
I just wanted to say that I used to share your frustration as well.
It seemed like doctors, & people in general just didn't understand what it would be like.
Sure, we're young, & most of us aren't thinking of having kids tomorrow,
but we would like to start our own little families one day.
The more I research it, the more acceptance I have for the condition, though.
It's never impossible to have children with PCOS;
sometimes it'll be harder, but we will have children!
The symptoms are truly annoying, though.
My own frustration would have to be the facial hair. I really can't stand it, but all I do is shave it off.
Hang in there. PCOS will try to get the best of you, but you can show it who's boss!
Haha. It's your body, & you want to take control of it.
Think of it that way.
:] Take care.

Hi there, it sounds like you might have a really good chance of having children. Of course when you are ready. You are having periods naturally which is a very good sign. Even if they are really long. Most women with PCOS don't have periods naturally. I have not had one in over 10 years without birth control.
I hope this makes you feel a little better. Just know to keep your hopes up. Good things will happen.
