Default Gallbladder attacks after gall bladder surgery

I recently had my gall bladder removed and have had 2 attacks in 2 weeks. Dr.'s cannot figure out what is wrong to me. I have had a CT scan, abdominal x-rays and a ultrasound and they see nothing. I am so frustrated the whole purpose of having my gallbladder was to avoid getting thee attacks. I am having them more frequent than when I had my GallBladder.

I had the same problem, my Dr. figured out it was duodenitis. My duodemem, the part that connects the stomach with the intestine, gets irritated by excess stomach acid. OTC stomach acid meds did nothing for the pain so now I take Protonix and it helps a lot. But I was out of the pills and couldn't afford to re-fill, bad insurance at the time, and after 2 days I was having pain again.

Also, when I stopped eatting greasy foods so much, my attacks happened less often. I notice when I do eat something a bit greasy I have to run to the bath room within an hour.

I hope this helps you find an answer and some relief.

most people's gall bladder pain does not go away after having it removed. which is strange if you think about it. How can something that no longer exists be causing you pain?
However, it is infrequent for them to get worse.

Watch what you eat, see if that triggers it. I had mine removed and if I eat too much dairy then I am in pain. I guess it just something I had to give up. Hope that works. Good luck
