Default Garcinia Cambogia, Chromium GTF, etc.?

Hi all,

I wanted to ask if anyone has had some weight loss success with some of the herbal remedies for insulin resistance, such as garcinia cambogia and chrominum GTF. Glucophage hasn't resulted in any weightloss for me, despite adhering to a pretty low-carb diet and I was thinking of also supplementing with an herb.

Any thoughts? Other herbs that have been helpful w/ IR or weight loss (besides mahuang...been there, done that, ran the risk of heart attack)

I've been taking both garcinia cambogia and chrominum GTF for about 2 weeks. I've lost about 6 pounds in that time. I have also started drinking loads of water, which I never did before, and I think that's helping as well.

I would highly recommend a book by Collette Harris and Theresa Cheung called "The PCOS Diet Book". I don't know if it's out in the US yet, but it has a whole section on herbal supplements. I'm taking all the ones for weight loss!

I will keep everyone updated on the results!

Other supplements I'm taking : vitamin B complex, l-carnitine, lecithin, sea kelp (iodine), co-enzyme Q10, and conjugated linoleic acid.

Default Improvement with Cinnamon

Dear FiFa,

I didn't have luck improving my insulin sensitivity with garcinia cambogia or chrominum GTF. But I did improve insulin sensitivity with cinnamon!

Every Body is different, so these may work for you, but do your research and look up cinnamon. (Capsules are best.)
