I used it for 6 weeks and I swear my acne got worse instead of better. I paid $13 for a bottle about the size of my thumb. Most of it evaporated before I could even use it(it was suddenly lower each day before I used it) and it was some stinky stuff ,too.
I went to wally world today and bought the cheapest benzoyl peroxide and the cheapest astringant they had and I'm gonna try that instead.
I wouldn't use the benzyl Peroxide thats just going to make things worse.Look into food allergies, and avoid hydrogenated fat,and fried food.Drink a glass of warm water with lemon in the morning, and make sure you are moving your bowels every day.Try some kind of yogurt, kefir or a probiotic supplement, and some flax seed oil/fish oils....these will work better in the long run.
For a quick pimple treatment dab some toothpaste on it and watch it dry overnight, use witch hazel as an astringent.
I agree with staying away from the benzyl Peroxide.
I've been using the Tea Tree Oil from about 6 months now and absolutely love it. The only time it stops working is when I forget to use it for a couple of days.
The only way I can see it evaporating is if the top wasn't on tight enough.
Have you had any testing done for food allergies/sensitivities? That might be the cause of your flare ups.

Tea tree is anti bacterial and anti fungal. It can clear up acne, but it's pretty strong stuff. A better way to go would be a preparation with tea tree in it, maybe in a witch hazel solution. Or a tea tree and vitamin E cream, used after cleansing with a mild glycerine soap.
I agree that peroxide will make things worse. It will dry your skin, which in turn will work overtime to produce more oil, which will then clog your pores... vicious cycle.

Lavender oil, diluted in a carrier oil, would do the same job. I've never had Ti-tree evaporate, so suspect what you had there was possibly diluted in some way?
The best essential oil I have found for helping with my PCOS is rose oil (rosa damascena). It's very expensive, but it seems to balance things out, and is good for the skin, if diluted to the right % in a carrier oil, or a base lotion. I use it in the bath. You can also get the good effects of rose oil more cheaply by cleaning your face with rose water. I use rose oil in the bath, rose water every day to clean my face, and rose cream at night (homemade) as it's the ultimate in feminine flower oils, it's thought to help with hormonal imbalances. I dunno about acne, but it will certainly do no harm, and maybe level out some of your other symptoms, over time.

I'm gonna make a suggestion to you ladies. I use Desert Essence, Throughly Clean Face wash. It contains Tea tree oil and Awippi (sp.) If you type in Desert Essence Throughtly Clean Face Wash, in to google. you can usually find the soap on line. Or deprending on where your at, try Trader Joes. I know here in california when i buy it i spend 5 bucks per 8 oz bottle. It's a soap.
