Default Generic Clomid

I've been taking Clomid, well actually the generic for Clomid, (Clomiphene Citrate) to start ovulation because I don't ovulate at all on my own. I know that the generics are supposed to be just as good as the name brands, but a friend that was on different fertility drugs, told me that her dr told her that the generics don't always work as well and it seemed to make a difference for her. So I'm just wondering if anyone else has been told this or if anyone else has used this generic and had any luck. Thanks!

I took the generic and got pregnant on a cycle that was considered a bust
