Should I get generic orthocyclen or stick with original?? Has anyone tried both of them. THanks so much for any help.

I was on thr brand name of ortho cyclen and worked great for me. Clear skin, head hair growing back gaster, facial hair growing slower, and boobs forming. Then my doctor had me try the generic one called Mononessa because my insurance card wouldn't pay for the brand name. One pharmicist told my dad that the generic bcps have a small difference in the amount of hormones from brand name bcp's. There are some women on this board who take the generic and it works for them, but still if you are not sure you should get thr brand name if possible, because it is better to be safe than sorry.

I took ortho cyclen for years and was switched without my knowledge to the generic. I had trouble with it in that I spotted for the first time in my life off and on during the month. I also felt queezy, something ortho cyclen never made me do. I switched back to the name brand after 3 months and low and behold all this went away. I would have sworn I was on a different pill!
