I think we should all go on to www.oprah.com and e-mail the producers (you have to join the website, but it is free) about having a show about PCOS.
This is how I did it: After I joined the website, I went to the bottom right side of the home page, where it says "Message Boards" and clicked on "join the discussion." Then I scrolled down a little, and at the bottom of the left side, in brownish letters, I clicked on "E-mail Us." Then I scrolled down again to where it says "Send e-mail to us" and selected "Send us your show suggestions."
I just gave some information about PCOS and why it is so important (for example, the variety of symptoms that can be overlooked, underdiagnosis, how LONG it can take to be diagnosed, the effects it can have long term on the body, etc).
If anyone can get the word out OPRAH can!

Ok, I wrote Oprah. I really hope she sees how important this is for a lot of women.
I said, " I as well as my cysters (soulcysters.net) would love to see a show about PCOS." Along with some other mumbo jumbo, LOL. I hope it was okay.

One thing that might help is if there is some one with PCOS willing to be on her show. Among which would be at least one or two experts who would be willing to appear.

They have been approached about this by organizations, experts and patients and have had no interest. There was even a campaign with certified public relations people who did not get a favorable response!
I have beenon this trail for awhile both professionally nad privately and hopefully one day will find the right angle to pitch. I just keep thinking, it took David Letterman how many years before The big O would come on his show, so there is still hope for PCOS!!!

Yes, I did think of the fact that they would delete the e-mails, I just hoped they wouldn't if enough people e-mailed about it. Oh well. Thank's for the suggestion about sending letters. And someone with PCOS being on the show about real women would probably be great, too.

Well ya know what- IF Oprah is not interested perhaps Montel Williams would be.. he may not have the large range of broadcasting area (he's not shown in Sioux City IA) BUT he's still on the air.
