Default Getting Mirena IUD in morning- scared!!!

I am getting an IUD in the am. I am really worried and quite frankly scared.

I have read mostly bad things about it and its placement. So why am IK choosing to do this? ugh!!!!!! any advice? any one like their mirena?

I don't have an IUD, but I just wanted to wish you luck! I'm sure everything will go great!

well I went and got it done.
it was weird having our period and doing something like that.

Overall it was quick. but it really did hurt when she opened my cervix and put the thing in. The cramps after have been no fun either. but I think it will be ok after awhile;

So how are you feeling now?

Can I ask what made you choose the IUD?

I'm trying to decide between BCP, DepoProvera and the IUD and I'm stuck!!! I just can't decide!!
I want something low maintenance...I'm afraid I'll forget to take the pill. I'm scared about the weight gain that seems to be a guarantee with DepoProvera shot. I haven't heard anything about the IUD (except from my doctor) but it sounds like a decent option.

Can anyone give me any info/advice?

I'm supposed to make up my mind by tomorrow afternoon...
