Thanks. They finally came home Wednesday night. It has been a little hard but it is getting better. This was very hard for my son, which surprised me the most. Several times my sister called worried about him. He had anxiety attacks and he is definately to young for that.

I am still in pain and still taking meds.

I had my follow up on Wednesday and the path reports showed that it was in fact cancer. He feels sure he got it all out but said he cannot say I am cured until my follow up in 6 months.

I appreciate everyones prayers and thoughts. I may not post as often but I do lurk. I just tire to easy.

Miss Sugar Plums, I just wanted to let you know that kidney cancer has one of the most favorable recovery rates. My grandmother had her kidney removed last year and even at her age (81) she's doing great and was completely back to her old spunky self within a couple of months. The best thing is that they DON'T do chemo for kidney cancer, so your body will stay strong to recover from surgery. Do discuss diet with all of your doctors though, because the high protein diet you may be doing for PCOS can sometimes be too taxing for a single kidney. Best wishes for good health, and God bless you!

Thanks for checking in with me. I am actually doing pretty well. The only thing is my energy levels. I still get pooped easily but every day I get a little bit better. I will probably be going back to work in a few weeks. My gallbladder is also acting up but I just cannot do another surgery so soon after this last one.

The sucky part about that is that I have 5 scars on my left side, and when I get my gallbladder removed, I will have 4-5 more on my right . That surgery is nothing compared to the kidney removal, the Dr just wants to wait a bit if I can tolerate it.

Thanks again for asking.

After that it is just waiting until February for my follow-up appointments.

Moon-sorry this response is so late but I will be meeting with a diabetic nutritionist soon and discussing that. I eat low carb/ high protein because I have diabetes as well as pcos. Thanks for the info.
