I wasn't sure where I should pose this question but I figured I would try here before the 'pregnant cysters' section
I just finished my first AF since my miscarriage (June) and it was the FIRST af I've had without provera in over a year!! and it was completely normal (1 light day, one medium, 2 heavy,1 light, one spotting) so six days all together and that is my norm (well was before it stopped)
Anyways my question is... has anyone noticed if it is easier to conceive after a loss? it seems to me that if my hormones are 'normal' enough to bring on AF maybe it will make it easier to conceive?
I am going to start TTC this cycle without clomid and I am hoping that for some reason my body decides it wants to O even if just for one cycle maybe it will be enough to start a healthy pregnancy!
thanks for reading

♥ Welcome to the world Eleanor Grace ♥
With my son I did 8 cycles of clomid with my OB (found out I am clomid resistant) and 2 cycles of IUI's with Repronex injections. So I conceived him after 10 cycles and 16 months of TTC.
With my miscarriage I never prevented pregnancy from the birth of my son. When he turned 1 in May I started seeing the RE again. I conceived my miscarriage on my 3rd cycle of Repronex and IUI. I didnt even try Clomid this time since I know I am resistant.
This pregnancy I conceived on my first cycle back with my RE after my D&C. I had one natural cycle exactly 28 days after my D&C and my RE made me wait another cycle. I had another natural cycle and that is when I conceived this pregnancy again with Repronex and IUI.
I am sorry for your loss and hope I gave you enough detail. I would say it was easier and my body responded much better to the drugs after my miscarriage than before.
When I had my miscarriage, I did a lot of reading and anecdotally at least it seemed as if lots of people got pregnant successfully in the first two cycles after a miscarriage -- it's as if the body got used to being pregnant and was more willing to try it again and it understood what it was supposed to do now. I tried again in my second cycle -- no drugs whatsoever -- and my son is now seven months old. So if you're emotionally ready, I would say go for it.
I beleive that it is easier and I have DS to prove it. I got preg with him after a m/c cycle. I had the m/c and then had a period and I got preg with him that very first cycle.

I've also heard its easier to get pregnant after a m/c and it seems to have some truth. I've also heard that women who have D & C's have healthier pregnancies because its like starting from a clean slate all the junk (I mean the bad infection type of stuff not the baby please dont' take that the wrong way!!) is removed and its bit healthier in there. I dunno if thats true but I guess could make sense.
If you are ready to concieve then I say go for it. My doctors wife has had 2 miscarriages and had a baby after each miscarriage with a healthy pregnancy for both. Good luck to you!!1
