I just got some new info concerning using natural progesterone cream to eliminate ovarian cysts.
Instead of using the cream from day 12 to 26 like you normally would, you use it from day 8 to 26...this prevents ovulation and gives the ovaries a break. You also have to use more cream than you normally would. Normal dosages are 20 mg twice a day but to get rid of cysts faster, you would use 40 mg twice a day. You do this cycle until your ultrasound shows no more cysts...then you go back to the 12-26 day cycle using 20 mg twice a day.
I've been using 20 mg. AM and 40 MG PM, days 5-whenever I start (usually day 26). So far so good, but I think I'll add an extra pump in the morning, too. A good shut down and cyst elimination is exactly what I'm using this for.
It's already Day 23 for me, and I'm hardly having ANY PMS symptoms, and those I do have are greatly reduced. I used the KAL brand that's available locally until my Progestacare pumps arrived. I love being able to pump out the right amount instead of having to measure it. Glad you recommended it.
I've also noticed a HUGE improvement in pms symptoms since using NPC. I used to have pretty bad cramps and had to take a couple of advils during the initial two days of my period but now I don't have bad cramps anymore...just a slight stinging sensation that goes away without any pills...premenstrual acne has also been eliminated as well as painful breasts. I also switched to ProgestaCare because like you, I enjoy the pump and not having to guess what dosage I'm using...I think it's very useful to keep track on things and what dosages work and which ones don't. The only problem I'm having is getting ProgestaCare shipped to Canada. Some companies won't ship it even though the importation for personal use is legal. Last time I ordered the cream it took one month for me to recieve it. Grrrr!!
That's a bummer! I found my cream for $22.95 USD per pump at www.betterlife.com (they have Femaprin Vitex for a good price, too.) In the US it's a flat $5.00 shipping and orders over $75.00 are free in the 48 Lower States, and they say in the site they'll send an exact shipping quote for International orders. Might be worth a try for you? Here's the e-mail:
