My Mood: Points: 9,622.78 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 9,622.78 | GI Diet So some of you may know I started a low GI diet on March 31st of this year. In my first week and a half I dropped I believe it was 7lbs!! (Which, I realize some/most is water weight) But i'm still way excited.
The second half of the second week I did horribly. I had some very upsetting issues come up in my life....so sadly I haven't dropped anymore weight. But am maintaining. And also getting back on track.
I highly recommend this diet for anyone with PCOS, or anyone with any excess weight they want to get rid of!!
And lastly...it was probably the sweetest thing, anyone has told me in a LONG TIME. I'm a 23 year old single girlie, and I have a 20 year old male roomate. (Which, he's been very supportive with my doing the low GI diet and very VERY supportive with my PCOS, and the crazy moods I go through with it.) Well, he asked me last night how my diet was going...and I explained the first week went very well...but with extra stressed and such on the second week it didn't go so well. But he told me that just by looking at my face he could tell i'm loosing weight!!! YAY for my sweet roomie! He's great!
GOOD BYE DOUBLE CHIN!!!!!!!!!!

My Mood: Points: 454.04 Bank: 348.89 Total Points: 802.93 | Hey, I'm doing the GI diet and lost 2.5 pounds the first week. I was shocked because EVERY diet I've tried no matter how faithfully I follow it, I lose NOTHING. I haven't weighed myself yet for week 2 (that will be Friday), but I definitely feel like I have lost more weight! I'm so excited to have found something that is working for me. Way to go on losing 7 lbs and good luck for the rest!

My Mood: Points: 9,622.78 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 9,622.78 | So far it's going alright. It's been a month, and i've lost about 10 lbs. 6-7 lbs was the first week and a half, and then about a lb a week.
I had a few personal things come up, so dieting was NOT a priority. But overall, i'm doing quite well I think.
My best friend is getting married in Nov. We went to look at dresses a month and a half ago, and now I just ordered it yesterday. In a month and a half i've gone down 2 dress sizes!! Yippie!

My Mood: Points: 4,898.40 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 4,898.40 | I started the GI diet about the same time (end of March) and i've lost a total of 16lbs. I have the same book (by Rick Gallop) and it's working really well.
I did have a bad week and totally was not on track and eating right. But I hopped right back on and i'm doing good.
I hate that my weight fluctuates, because now I don't know if the 16lbs is fully accurate or not. I know i've lost 10 for sure, because when it fluctuates it never goes higher than 205, and I started at 216. I've been going between 200 and 205 constantly over the last week.
One pointer I can give is to buy some sugar free popsicles, fudgesicles, or ice cream. When you change your diet a lot, it's hard to give up everything, and I've found that knowing I have something sweet and tasy in the freezer helps me stay on track through the day. I end up eating the ice cream once every 3 days or so, so it's not that bad. |

I have other diet books and they give me a headache to read. This one is simple RED means No Yellow means on occassion and Green is all the time. Wow! simple. A friend and I found this awesome all ladies gym that is Cardio and strenght training that we are starting plus following this book! keep you updated!

Points: 200.62 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 200.62 | It really gives me hope that yall are seeing results from the GI diet. I ordered my book over a week and half ago (still waiting... media mail, BOO) and am really excited to get started. I didn't realize that there was a website with the foods list (duh, why not? everything else has a website!) I'll be checking that out right now. Congratulations to all of you! |
