The entire list is not online, just an updated list that has been compiled since the book was published.

So I have been on the diet for 4 days now, and doing pretty well. My headache has subsided. I am feeling that burst of energy. I ordered a low GI cookbook, and the shopping guide. I am excited for them to arrive. My DH is doing it with me. I know he is looking forward to some new dinner ideas.
We need to share our meal plans, and get some ideas from one another. A girl can only eat so many apples, ya know what I mean?

My Mood: Points: 10,401.13 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 10,401.13 | I think exchanging meal plans/recipes is a great idea!!!
Breakfast
egg beaters omelete (no cheese)
with broccoli, green peppers, and canadian bacon.
glass of water
1 cup skim milk
1 medium orange
Snack:
3/4 cup fat free cottage cheese
1/3 cup of Lemon pepper tuna (the kind of tuna that's in the little pouch, not the can)
(Mixed together it's delicious!)
Lunch:
grilled chicken breast, diced up.
brown rice
mixed together with some curry powder
and some sort of veggies on the side.
snack:
celery sticks with chicken salad.
(I love the chicken salad I make)
I use just the canned chicken breasts (same isle as the tuna) shred it up, add some fat free mayo, some pepper and other seasonings, slice up some grapes into it, and throw some slivered almonds in.
dinner:
1/2 cup whole wheat pasta
some Classico spaghetti sauce 1/4 cup or so.
3/4 cup green beans
snack:
1/2 cup dannon light and fit vanilla yogurt
1 cup grapes
and I drink as much water as i can throughout the day...but with the Spiro...it makes me pee a lot!!!
What are you ladies eating?
Any great recipie you care to share?

I'll give the tuna and cottage cheese a try too. I like them both, so why not together.

My Mood: Points: 5,818.85 Bank: 14,779.89 Total Points: 20,598.74 | Lets see, today I had:
Breakfast: Old fashioned oatmeal (made with skim milk) mixed with SF strawberry preserves.
Snack: apple sprinkled with cinnamon and splenda. Pop it in the microwave for a few, and YUM!
Lunch: Tuna mixed with FF mayo, and a salad.
Snack: orange slices and grapes.
Dinner: I mixed some worcestershire sauce, garlic and onion together with some lean hamburger. cooked the patties and added FF cheese. Yum! Also had green beans and carrots.
Snack: I had a yogurt and 10 almonds.

I'm not doing as well - I've got to sit down and really read the allowances... sometimes I think I'm eating well when in reality I'm not...
I'm hoping to be 100% on board by next week.
You're inspiring! Keep it up!

My Mood: Points: 10,401.13 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 10,401.13 | Novgirl, best of luck!!!
If I can do it, I know you can too!!!!
I posted a link to a GI book on page 1, it's very helpful!!! I highly suggest you read it!
When i wasn't following the GI diet, I was always wondering why even after I ate a big meal (usually the horrible things, white foods, especially pasta) I would be hungry not very long afterwards. So i would end up eating more, not good things. Once I started the low GI diet, and making sure I was eating the correct amount of veggies/fruits, lean protiens and such....i'm no longer hungry. I sometimes don't even eat all my veggies/fruits because i'm too full!!
Check out the book if you haven't already....it could be very beneficial to you!
Best of luck!!!

I'm also following a low GI eating plan, now can I ask for those who have had such great weight loss, what exercise are you doing as well??? I've been told I need to exercise 3-4 times a week.

My Mood: Points: 3,041.58 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 3,041.58 | I exercise once a week with a personal trainer and I *try* to work out on my own another 2x a week but it doesn't always happen.
Diet really is the key though - I worked out 3x a week w/ my PT for 6 months and didn't follow a strict diet and only lost about 13lbs... She says that food is about 80% of the results.
GL!

My Mood: Points: 10,401.13 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 10,401.13 | I started the low GI diet end of March/beginning of April...and I honestly...haven't done any workouts. I know it's bad!!!!! I have managed to lose 10.5 lbs so far. I'm just thinking about if I would have been working out, how much more it coulda been!!
I am getting some cardio workout dvd's this weekend...and going to incoorperate my hand held weights into it.
Anyone have any good ideas for Cardio workout dvd's?
