Unhappy GIANT skin tags ?

I have a GIANT (yes I have to yell it) skin tag on my neck...its gross and it hurts and I want to pick it off...

What do I do about it ? Go to my doctor ? It seems like they are popping up all over right now...I guess its time to get back on the Metformin ?

Thanks,
Amy

I had one on my BUTT if you can believe that! It wasn't on the cheek of the but but right by the hole...argh! I hated it and my gyno removed it. It's a fairly easy procedure actually but it was embarassing to ask.

skin tags are very come for all kinds of people with or without pcos. I have them on my arm pits. My husband has had them since I've known him so its not an issue between us. On the other hand I am going to Ashmead school of massage and everybody gets to see them along with my fat and everything else I dont want anybody else to see, except my husband . The ways I was told by a doc to get rid of them was to rip them off, take sterelized tweezers and clip them off or have them removed by him and to tell you the truth I dont like the sound of any of them. so I've made peace with them for now or at least until they show up some place I dont feel paeceful about.

I have skin tags on my neck and I plan on having them removed. I have long hair though so most people don't notice them. My mother has them also and has attempted to remove some by herself. One thing she tried was taking silk thread and tying it real tight around the base of it. They turn black and eventually fall off. She only did that a couple times and stopped due to it being painful. She also had my sister cut one off with scissors! My mother must be crazy because I could never do that. I went to a Dr about them once and she told me she could remove them I just haven't had it done yet. She gives you this cream that you rub on the areas that are to be removed and it makes the area numb. She told me after putting cream on to wrap my neck with saran wrap and come in to have them removed. She said I wouldn't feel a thing. Now that I have insurance again I can get it done. Out of all my PCOS symptoms though, skin tags are the least of my worries.

I had actually posted on this acouple of weeks ago, mine are tiny, tiny ones on my eyelids and neck...the resposes I got and from what I heard they are an early sign of diabetes! (oh, oh) I hate mine, especially the ones on my eyelids. My bestfirend's DH has soooooo many all over his neck he can not wear any jewelry because the chain rippes them and they bleed. He is also pre-diabetic. Just go to the Dr and have them removed, I don't know if they grow back...they probably do.

I get them on my neck. It's pretty common for anyone to get them in places of friction. I get them on my neck where the seatbelt in the car rubs. Mine are pretty small so I cut them off my self with a pair of cutical sissors. I won't lie . . . IT HURTS! And boy, can they bleed. For a large one, I'd go to my doc and have it removed.

I have skin tags all over and that is one of the "issues" that I have with myself; one of the reasons I see myself as a freak! I have them all over on my neck, arm pits, and now getting them on my chest?! I HATE them; but my insurence won't pay for a doctor to take care of them. I have to wait until I can get $200 for them to get taken care of!!
