Hello everyone,
I have been trying a ton of different things to bring on my period, taking vitex and vitamins along with tinctures of dong quai, wild yam, blue cohosh, angelica and cramp bark, anyway I bought the raspberry leaf tea for women and I was wondering if I could combine it with ginger and cinnamon? I have been making tea of just fresh ginger root and cinnamon sticks,-Its so yummy. but I do not know if this is a good combo since I am taking so many other herbs. I have an appointment with an herbalist on Friday but in the meantime can anyone give me any suggestions.
Thanx, best wishes to all.

I don't think that it would be a problem, but I would ask the herbalist to make up a "recipe" of what you should be using. When I tried to make up my own combos, I kind of made things worse by using things that conflicted with each other. I try not to mix too many herbal remedies on my own now.
Cristina, I don't have the information that you are looking for but I would like to request your recipe for the yummy fresh ginger root and cinnamon sticks tea.
Hi August, All I do is get a fresh piece of ginger root, peel it and throw into the tea pot with 1-2 cinnamon sticks, and a few teaspoons of honey and add water then I boil it. then I let it sit there for a good half hour or so, it comes out a really pretty red color because of the cinnamon. You can let it sit for as long as you want to make the tea stronger or weaker. I like my tea strong so I leave it. The ginger will turn a brownish color and the cinnamon sticks will open, but dont let that fool you!!!. The flavors of the cinnamon and ginger are still very potent. I do not throw away my cinnamon sticks or ginger until after I have boiled them at least 3 times, then I throw them away. I use alot of water too because I make iced tea with it. Hope you like the tea!
