Question Ginseng Berry Extract

Hey Ladies,

Has anyone used "Ginseng BERRY Extract" yet? I'm going to try it soon, but I fear it will be just another mirage. And an expensive gamble.

Here are some links to two places where you can purchase the extract. There are warnings that you should not take it if you've got high blood pressure, heart trouble, or are at high risk for stroke.

You can even purchase the seeds or (better yet) the roots to grow your own Panax Ginseng here.

REMEMBER: The type that was studied was PANAX GINSENG, and the specific ginsenosides in the ginseng that work were found in abundance in the BERRY, not in the root. So you can't just go purchase Ginseng Herbal Tea and see results. I've read that often times products are sold as Ginseng that do NOT even contain the Ginsenosides anymore. Too refined! But to the best of my knowledge, the above sources are reliable.

Here's an article talking about "Panax Ginseng Berry Extract:"

You can find plenty more about it online of course.

Ok, so if anyone HAS already tried it, please e-mail me and let me know if it did or didn't work for you.

Thank you, and I'll post my results as well.

P.S. Has anyone tried N-acetyl-cysteine? Has it actually helped with weight loss, regulating periods, etc?

I'm so discouraged. I've been hoping to find help for years, and everything has been a deadend. I was so excited about d-chiro-inositol, and now that's been dropped by Insmed. I've tried cinnamon, green tea, L-glutamine, chromium, Omega 3 oils, flax seeds, Metformin, Vanadyl Sulfate, Inzitol, Garcinia Cambogia, Corosolic Acid, Soy Lecithin, Vitamin E, chelated magnesium, progesterone cream (still trying this), multi-vitamins & minerals, alpha lipoic acid, etc. So far the ONLY thing that has helped at all is cutting out refined carbs and exercising like mad, which only helped SOME and is so difficult. I think PCOS will kill me someday. I'm so tired and have no energy to do life anymore.

Welcome to soulcysters! I am so sorry to hear that you're discouraged. I, too am seeking a more natural treatment for this PCOS. I am currently on many of the things you've been on. You say you've had NO success with anything? Everything you've tried has been a dead end? I don't think I've been actively seeking treatment long enough yet, and I am on many of the things you've previously tried, but I too am beginning to get discouraged. Especially after reading your post. So many girls here have had success with met, and quick, too. I'm on CD 50 and I don't know what to do. Today, I did more research that studies have shown CLA, conjugated Lineolic acid, taurine, and L-Arginine all improve insulin sensitivity. (that reminds me of a post somewhere here about red bull) I think I will be adding these to my arsenal next. I also read a LOT about DHEA and cortisol levels and may be trying this too. Have you tried any of these things? I'm looking forward to seeing you on this board with some successes soon.
