My Mood: Points: 11,536.36 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 11,536.36 | Giving clomid one last try - Do I have to HAVE to induce AF first? Hi Ladies! I've been MIA since my last clomid cycle - I found it really hard to be involved in anything TTC while I wait for my appointment at the fertility clinic.
So my question is whether or not I have start AF (then take on days 3-7) or can I take a HPT and just start...??

Good luck hun!!

My Mood: Points: 21,044.37 Bank: 1.81 Total Points: 21,046.18 | The first time I did Clomid, I was on something like CD43, and my doctor didn't induce af first. I didn't get pg, but I wouldn't have, anyway, since Clomid made my cm hostile (and my lining was too thin, both with and without Clomid).

I think clomid makes my CM hostile as well - I have ovulated on 4 out of my 6 cycles on clomid and never had a BFP. DH's SA was great (quite sufficient at 267 billion and 50% motility) and my tubes are all clear.

I don't know anything about Femara but Tamoxifen does not have the side effect of thinning the uterine lining or hostile mucus. It worked great for me where as Clomid didn't.
Good luck!
