Antone else heard this. I was told by another cyster that Gluc XR doesn't work as well for ttc as regular Gluc. Anyone hear of this? Did you hear it from a doctor? I just switched to XR and am ttc. Should I go back to regular Gluc? HELP!!!!!

I asked to switch from the regular to the xr to help with side effects (plus it is a pain to remember 3 times a day!) but my dr would not switch me. He told me that they felt that it probably worked just as well, but the studies were not there yet and in the mean time they wanted me to stick with what was proven effective. If I really pressed the issue they may have relented, but I decided that I would follow their advice, and eliminate any questions in their minds atleast!
Evidence on this board seems to show that gluc xr works just as well. Now that I am pg, I think I will ask again to switch.
I am on Glucophage XR... and my doctor just put me on it... and he knows I am TCC... so I greatly doubt my doctor would put me on a medication that wouldnt help.. since he knows that is my over all goal...
