Every doctor wants to put me on Glucophage. I cannot handle the sideeffects. I am overweight with all the symptoms of pocs. I am so tired of living this way. Does any one have any suggestions?

I am so sorry that glucophage is not working for you. Like you I could not handle the side effects of glucophage , my dr wanted me to reach 1500mg and I could not surpass 500mg without severe side effects and even one time becoming severly dehydrated. However my Dr at the time would only lower my dosage back to 500mg, after over a year of this hell. I switched Dr s and my new gyn put me on avandia, I have had no side effects and my insulin levels are normal maybe you could ask your dr about avandia or maybe you could find a dr who will listen. I hope you find something that works for you.
