Question Glucophage and Dostinex

Has anyone else every taken these drugs?
Have you taken them together? My doctor prescribed them for me and they had me feeling horrible. I suffered terrible headaches and no monthly cycles. My ankles were continually swollen and I had no energy. The side effects contradicted eachother, Glucophage can cause weight loss and Dostinex can cause weight loss.

I stopped taking them both and am trying to find a holistic way of treating this condition. I should add that along with have PCOS I also have a cyst on my pituatary gland.

I would love to get some insight from anyone.

I just started Dostinex about a week and a half ago in order to bring my slightly high-but normal range-prolactin level down. So far, I'm a lot sleepier than I used to be which actually forces me to go to bed earlier-but not unreasonably so. In fact, I wake up feeling great. By 6 pm I'm starting to feel a little tired. I felt a little spacey at first, but now I don't feel the side affects. I'm only on this for one month, so I'm going to finish the medication. As for taking it with other drugs, just the Unithroid that I'm on for life! If this doesn't end up working for me, then I'm off to Metformin. I hear that the side effects on that drug can be pretty bad. Not looking forward to it at all.
Good luck with your holistic approach and to everyone out there!
