Does anyone take the extended/slow release version of metformin?? If so,what doseage do you take??

I just started the Gloucophage XR 500mgs. I was on Met 1000mgs. But the side effects were to great. I have a feeling when I see the Dr in 3 weeks he will put me on a higher dose.

Are you taking it???

Yes I am on 500mg a day.I feel I should be on a higher dose but have moved countries to Australia and my new doc doesn't use it...only clomid so he is not much help!

I am on Glucophage XR 2000 mg qd... had a few side effects at first but they went away pretty quickly...
